Hildegard of Bingen - Thought for the Week, 9/17/19
September 17, 2019, 2:00 PM

On September 17, the Christian Church remembers the life of Hildegard of Bingen. She was born in 1098 but her legacy continues today – more than 900 years later. Hildegard is remembered for serving as an Abbess of her monastery, but she also composed beautiful music, studied natural remedies for ailments, and pioneered many aspects of women’s health care. Hildegard saw the beauty of the world around her and developed a mystical connection with the Creator God. As the seasons begin to change around us, how can we use the world’s beauty to deepen our relationship with God?
