Light of Christ - Thought for the Week, 12/10/19
December 10, 2019, 1:59 PM

One of the saints the Christian churches remember this week is Lucy. She died during a period of the church’s persecution in the year 303. Lucy, whose name means “light,” is remembered in different ways by different European cultures. In Sweden, girls dress up as the saint, wearing halos of lit candles and greeting their families early in the morning. The candles are not only a reminder that Jesus is the light of the world, but that each of us bears the light of Christ to the world. How can we be better lights of Christ to the world?
